We choose registered post via An Post/The Royal Mail or our list of supported couriers* as best practice on the market, as for only a few extra euro depending on weight, the sellers package and contents is insured by the provider and it gives the buyer piece of mind along with greater information as to when the item will be delivered.
We recommend that you read our Shipping Tutorial for a guide on shipping prices per garment or you can check out the national post office or courier rates online prior to pricing and listing your items for sale.
Where you are sending by Parcel Post at your national post office, as long as there is a tracking number this route can be used. The difference is a cheaper postal price, however you do not have any insurance on your content and the item is not signed for on delivery. This is up to the seller as to whether you wish to use this for your cheaper items on sale, however it is advised to incorporate the few extra euro/pounds to insure your content.
Tip - if you feel separating the shipping cost will put off your buyers, why not incorporate the shipping into your listed price, either partially or in full. As long as you are open, transparent and fair with your pricing you will have no problem attracting potential buyers!
